Day 2 - SXSW - Thursday, March 17, 2011

Day 2 of my personal journey through the South By SouthWest Music Festival kicked up the intensity level that much higher.

Caught performances from Oh Land, Asobi Seksu, Nicole Atkins, The Vandelles, Turbo Fruits, Ringo Deathstarr and A Place To Bury Strangers.

Yes!!!

It's fantastic, refreshing, alive and it takes me right to Austin!

*Love* the Nicole Atkins video, this "behind the window" (or rather inside-the-window) view. Oh, what I'm talking about- I love them all! I see you guys are having a great time, great music echoes throughout the city- you know what, if Kerouac was writing "On The Road" today he would absolutely include this city, these people, these events and THIS MUSIC in his masterpiece. Oh Land's music (I checked them out on YouTube) is absolutely breathtaking. And so is the rest.

This is a delight. Great, great job and I want more!

I must say, I'm digging the short clips. It's very shark-like. A small burst of activity, and then on to the next conquest. "Land ho," I say. "Asobi, Spooky, and Lisha, oh my!" I was thinking about how Jasno had been your wingman as I see the torch has now been passed to Jacques, and there's Jasno in the video, completing the circle. Dave, I believe you are having a very "WooHoo" week!

...Its a slipstream, a daydream, a marvel and a wonder. A wrinkle in the continuum, I shimmer on the streets of austin, transported bioectoplasm, the sidewalk snakes between walls & roads. Music fills the air.
You post....BOG! (hehe) I'm there

nice videos, dave. cool.
i like those kind of behind the scenes ones, where bands are getting ready, or one outside where some people watch nicole's show, or any of that.
and i heard that there was quiet experiment with film demonstration...
and it seems like you having a good time. :)

I love your Kerouac references, eagle. You know both you and I share a passion for that.

The "circle" is constantly spinning, VFSD. A total "Whoo Hooo" experience.

I'm blown away by your prose, deadman. You impress!

I knew you would dig the Nicole video, Mr. Smork. I'm glad I was able to capture that one.
