nice review, dave. it is a real review, contains all essential info about the show. i think you are getting a real journalist, dave. :) but thing is that the black background is something that makes reading hard. :)
i am not a big fan of guns'n'roses, but they got some really goo tunes, but they are to lovin' and melancholic to me. :) as for this guy - mckagn, songs he sings now with this band is different and sounds more grungy and sometimes punk and it is good to listen sounds something old and something new all at once. :) not sure if i like personality if this guy, but i like the songs.
Of particular merit in this edition of the Cromwell blog is Dave's ever-progressing camera work. I can't recall him editing pieces from more than one performance into one clip before, and the result from the "Stage Banter/Attitude/So Fine" clip is impressive.
I also enjoyed the way the camera moved about from Duff to Mike Squires as they traded vocal lines near the end of "Dust & Bones." It was like I was watching a tennis match, without the strenuous task of pivoting my neck. Dave had done all the work for me. My neck says, "Thanks, Dave!"
Another thing about the camera work. Normally, with Dave's height, he is trying to capture the best view. He does this by entrenching himself near the front in order to get the cleanest shot. This time, however, he managed to capture the audience response to the performance by allowing us to view some enthusiastically bobbing heads. Head's up thinking there, Dave. It made me feel like I was actually there.

It was a great show, I was there. It was great to see all those pictures you took! My dad and I were second row from the stage, on the far left. It was one of the best shows I've ever been to, definantly.
Another detailed review and a set of cool photos. That's good stuff there. And those guitar picks- they're fantastic. I'm gonna have to try and produce some drawings to be used on guitar picks one day. Great post, Dave.
